Finite Difference Methods and Partial Differential Equations

Internship, Inspira STEM program, 2026

Taught a 32-hour online internship in Finite Difference Methods and Partial Differential Equations. Reference: Miguel Montalvo and Erick Urquilla.

On May 2026, I collaborated to the a Inspira STEM internship project to enhance the students’ skills in coding and linear algebra with Python. This internship lasted two months: from May 18th to July 10th. Which culminated in a symposium where the students presented their projects.

This was a two month-long internship that consisted of two parts:

  1. A 8-hour introduction to coding and linear algebra with Python (NumPy, SymPy and SciPy).
  2. A 24-hour introduction to finite difference methods with application to partial differential equations.
